FAQ

How do I place an order?

Contact me with your requirements and I will check availability and provide a quote. If you wish to proceed then you just need to make a non-refundable deposit payment of £30 for celebration cakes, £15 for small bake orders (cupcakes etc.) or £50 for wedding cakes, to secure the booking. Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer. The full balance is required prior to collection or delivery.

Do you deliver?

Collection from my kitchen in Finmere is preferred, however I can deliver. Delivery is free within 10 miles of Finmere and any further distances are charged at 50p per mile. Please note that the delivery of wedding cakes also includes set-up of the cake.

Where do you bake your cakes?

I bake from my home kitchen in Finmere, which is registered with my local council. I also hold a Level 2 Food & Hygiene certificate and am covered by Public Liability insurance too!

How much notice do you need?

Ideally, as much notice as possible but at least 2 weeks' notice is required for celebration cakes and at least 6 weeks for wedding cakes.  If you do need a last-minute cake then do contact me, I might be able to fit you in!

How do you design your cakes?

Sometimes a client has a very specific idea of what they'd like or may just throw in some ideas to help inspire a design. Either way, I will sketch up an idea as a starting point and then work with you to get to a final design. For wedding cakes, you may wish to bring along examples of your colour theme, stationery etc. to your consultation or even send me a link to your Pinterest board.

Do you cater for allergies?

I can cater for gluten and dairy free but please be aware that gluten and dairy products are produced in my kitchen so I cannot guarantee that cakes have not come into contact with substances that may cause allergic reaction. That goes for nuts too!
