Where do you bake?
I bake from my home kitchen in Finmere, Buckinghamshire. My business is registered with my local council and I also hold a Level 2 Food & Hygiene certificate and am covered by Public Liability insurance.
Do you deliver?
Delivery is free within 10 miles of Finmere and any further distances are charged at 50p per mile for a round trip. Please note that delivery of wedding cakes is highly recommended as it includes set-up of the cake at your venue, which is much less stressful for you!
How much notice do you need?
Ideally, as much notice as possible as I am unable to hold your date without a booking fee, but I would suggest at least 6-9 months’ notice (possibly even 12 months for peak season dates) is required for wedding cakes. I do limit the amount of orders I take as I like to give each cake the attention and time it deserves so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. If you do need a last-minute cake then do contact me, I might be able to fit you in!
Do you have cake stands for hire?
Yes! I have a small selection of stands for hire at £15 per stand. A security deposit of £40 is also required, which will be refunded to you upon safe return of the stand within 7 days of your wedding. Please ask for details.
Do you cater for allergies?
I can cater for gluten free but please be aware that gluten products are produced in my kitchen so I cannot guarantee that cakes have not come into contact with substances that may cause an allergic reaction. That goes for nuts too.
How do you design your cakes?
Sometimes a client has a very specific idea of what they'd like or may just throw in some ideas to help inspire a design, which is my dream scenario as I can let my creativity fly and design something completely bespoke. Either way, I will sketch up an idea as a starting point and then work closely with you to get to a final design.
Can we have more than one flavour?
Absolutely you can! Most of my clients choose a different flavour per tier so that everyone gets their favourite.
Can I make changes to my order once booked?
Yes of course. You can make changes to the design and flavour(s) up to 4 weeks before the date on which your cake is required. If there’s a significant change to the design, which requires more or less time to create, then I will recalculate the final cost for you.
